I made this print while thinking about how I've felt about my body over the years. All of the ways I've learned to find flaw in myself, or protect other people from my body, instead of learning to celebrate it for all that it is. I hope it encourages you to do the same!
The print reads:
First 25 years:
Hunch your shoulders, your broadness isn't feminine
Cover yourself, it is your job to erect men from themselves.
Be smaller, daintier, meeker.
Cover and cower.
No courage or confidence for you.
Next 25 years:
Shoulders back, curves out.
You look good.
Tight skirt, loose skirt,
What do you want? What do you like?
Because you're not just a thing to hide or not hide from men.
Because you are your's and no one else's.
